For the second VA, Distinct welcome two artists that have been carving out their names in the underground in recent months, Jezz Simpson and Den Haas, who provide tracks alongside Distinct heads Shaw James and Mondé.

Modula Records’ Jezz Simpson makes his bow on Distinct with ‘The Couch Surfer’, a smooth-as-silk house cut that centres around a warm bassline providing the groove, sitting alongside a shimmering melody that glides overhead. Dutch native Den Haas, fresh from releases on EWax, Inermu, YAYA, Resynance and Floorpiece, switches up proceedings with ‘Thirteen’, a breakbeat number that highlights the diverse taste of the Distinct roster.

Distinct’s own Shaw James gets in on the action with ‘Stand’, showcasing his trademark deeper groove highlighted by a number of evolving synths, and teams up with fellow Distinct artist Mondé to close the release with ‘Numantia’, which also carries the same warm Distinct flavour.
